ITINERARY:
Day 1– Arrived in Lima at the airport and
transfer to the selected hotel
Day 2 – Slept in then explored Lima, including open top bus tour of the
city sights.
ANCESTRAL LIMA:
We begin our tour with a panoramic view of the "Huaca Pucllana",
magnificent ceremonial and archaeological center built in the fourth century
D.C. And considered "Sacred Town" by the Incas.
The viceroyalty
of Peru was the most important of the Spanish Empire and Lima was its capital.
COLONIAL LIMA:
We visit the Historic Center of Lima, where you will appreciate more than fifty
monuments and colonial buildings, including the Paseo de la Republica, San
Martín Square, the Plaza Mayor, the Government Palace, the Archbishop's Palace,
Municipal Palace among others.
We visit the
MONUMENTAL SET OF SAN FRANCISCO, which is the largest sample of colonial
religious art in America. It emphasizes the visit to its subterranean crypts
known as "Catacombs".
CONTEMPORARY
LIMA: We will visit the most traditional residential areas of Lima, El Olivar
de San Isidro, Miraflores and Larcomar.
Day 3 – Early flight to Puerto Maldonado – delayed due to fog arrived
late afternoon. This was the first day of our 4 day adventure Pick up from the airport and / or bus station transfer to
the office where they can leave some luggage that is not going to take the tour. Then transfer to the port (port captain) 15 minutes by boat
downriver by the Madre de Dios River in a motorized boat to take us to our
lodge, where we settled in our comfortable rooms, accompanied by our guide then
we walk by trails of the lodge where our guide will explain the flora
and fauna that inhabits this area. After lunch and then travel on our boat for 20 minutes to
reach the island of monkeys, great opportunity to see 5 species of monkeys that
inhabit this island, then we prepare to return to the lodge, and return at dusk
observe caimans with the help of our flashlights, we see the red eyes alligators and your guide will explain everything about the
alligators, return to the lodge where we spend the night in our comfortable

Day 4 – Very early in the morning at 5:00 am
we will visit the parrot clay lick the cachuela, a journey of about 50 minutes,
where you can see many species of parrots gather at the wall of the Madre de
Dios River to eat clay in a multicolored spectacle of flight and cries, an
experience you will never forget. After return to the lodge for breakfast, then we will prepare
to visit Lake Sandoval throughout the day, from our lodge trip 10 minutes by
boat to reach port on the shores of Lake Sandoval, where our entry to the
Tambopata Reserve "Lago Sandoval "in a walk of about 1 hour, then reach the lake
where we take a canoe paddle to stroll through this beautiful lake that is home
to many birds and animals. Then at noon we will take a lunch in a restaurant in Lake
Sandoval, after lunch those who wish can swim in the lake Sandoval safely, then
return to the lodge, dinner and then a night walk to see some animals and / or insects that come out at night return to our lodge where
we spend the night in our comfortable lodge.
Day 5 – After breakfast, we'll take our
motorboat to travel 25 minutes by the river Mother of God, we will visit a
local family Eseja, where we can learn about their culture, lifestyle and we
can talk to them, return to the lodge for lunch, after a rest we prepare ourselves to go for fishing in
a small river where you can fish piranhas and other Amazonian fish, then we can
do kayaking in the river Madre de Dios, return to the lodge for dinner, after
dinner overnight in our confortable lodge
Day 6 – After breakfast, coordinating flight time and / or bus we will transfer in motorized canoe to Puerto Maldonado and from there to the airport afternoon flight
to Cusco. Spent the rest of the day exploring Cusco and adjusting to the
altitude.
Day 7 – Free morning, lunch before the
tour of the city.
02:00 p.m: EXCURSION CITY TOUR: We will visit the Temple of
the Sun or Qorikancha, also visit the 04 nearby ruins of the city, the Fortress
of Sacsayhuaman, Kenko, Puca Pucara, finally "The Baths of the Inca".
Tambomachay 06:30 p.m. Transfer to the hotel. Hotel night in Cusco.
Day 8 – After breakfast,
we'll pick you up between 08:30 p.m. and 09:00 a.m, we'll start by Corao, then
travel over the Vilcanota River for a panoramic view of the Inca citadel of
Pisac and visit a typical Indian market of Pisac where we will have the
opportunity to learn about the customs of its inhabitants and haggle prices
with vendors. Lunch at a local restaurant in the Sacred Valley of the Incas
(optional $ 20 USD). In the afternoon, we'll visit the Fortress and Citadel of
Ollantaytambo, built to guard the entrance to this part of the valley and
protect it from possible invasion from the tribes of the jungle.
We will
have the opportunity to walk the streets of the town and get a clear idea of what this military,
religious and cultural center during the Inca Empire.
On the
way back to Cusco, we'll visit the picturesque village of Chinchero where there
are the remains of the "Royal Hacienda of Tupac Inca Yupanqui".
Admire its well preserved Inca Wall in the Main Square and visit the beautiful
colonial temple with interesting frescoes on the portico, this temple was built
on the foundations of an Inca building.
Once the
visit completed, we'll return to Cusco, we'll arrive to the city at
approximately 07:00 p.m.

Day 9 – ... a.m, we'll pass
through your hotel 30 minutes before the scheduled departure of Cusco, we will
take you to the train station located in the town of Ollantaytambo (1 hour and
30-minute trip by car) where we'll board our train and then make the trip with
destiny the town of "Aguas Calientes" (2000 m) which lasts two hours.
Arriving
at the train station, our guide will be waiting for us with a sign and your
names, with it, we will go to the bus station, to ascend 400 m in height, a
zigzag path for 30 minutes to reach the incredible World Wonder: "Machu
Picchu Sanctuary", known as "The Lost City of the Incas".
Once you
reached the citadel of Machu Picchu, we'll pass the control point where you'll
be delivered your entrance ticket, from this place, the guided tour will start,
we'll visit the main venues of the city such as the Main Square, the Circular
Tower, the Sacred Solar Clock , the Royal Quarters, the Temple of the Three
Windows and Cemeteries, the tour will be for more than two hours.
Upon
completion, you will be given free time to stroll around the citadel and visit
Machu Picchu on your own, then we'll return to "Aguas Calientes" and
take our food in one of the many restaurants.
In the
afternoon, we're going to take the train back to Cusco (must be in the station
30 minutes before the departure time of your train), the return will follow the
same route as the outward journey, arrival at the train station of
Ollantaytambo , we will be waiting to take you to your hotel in Cusco (1 hour
and 30-minute trip by car). Hotel

Day 10 – At the appropriate
time, pick-up from the hotel and transfer to the airport to take our flight
back to Lima.
